Two Months

Has it really been two months?! It feels like yesterday we were driving home with you. We had pure excitement that you were our little girl! Everything we had prayed for and so much more!!!  Since then it has only grown! We know that God had plans for us to be a family. We waited so long and now that you have been with us for two WHOLE months it sometimes feels like we are dreaming. The best dream in the world:) You love it so much when we talk to you and give us these big smiles that melt our hearts. So we can't stop talking to you! Oh, your smiles are the greatest! You are getting so big and turning more into a "baby" than a newborn. This past week you stay up a lot during the day but when it comes to 7-7:30pm you are out! We still wake around 9-10pm for your last feeding and then you sleep for 5-6 hours! Momma only has to get up with you once during the night. Getting to be such a big girl!

You are so sweet, happy girl but sometimes feisty, love to look around, coo a lot when we talk to you, love noises and you are very active and can kick those legs all around. You are aware of your fingers and starting to take your paci sometimes. At 7 weeks you rolled from your belly to back and have done that multiple times since. You have great head control! Have went on many walks and seem to love being outdoors! That is great because mommy and daddy love the outdoors.

You weigh.......10 lb 6 oz (25th percentile) and 22 inches (25 percentile).
We didn't think you were over 10 pounds....no wonder your 0-3 month clothes are starting to fit better. lol. You wear size 1 diapers and have pretty much outgrown your newborn clothes this past week or so:( Sad day but that's alright though. We know you are growing and are thankful you are healthy! We try to soak it all in because you are changing all the time. We love seeing you grow and you bring so much joy to our life!!! We love you so much!!!

Now photos of your 2 month photo shoot

I just love her smile:)

Easter

This Easter I was especially looking forward to! It was Harper's first holiday and our first Easter as a family! I remember always seeing pictures of everyone's little family and thinking I can't wait till our time. I loved every minute of it!!! I looked forward to picking out Harper's easter dress...and hoping it would fit her. lol. Picking out her easter basket and knowing she will be hunting eggs with it for many years to come. Just thinking of the many memories we made and will make for years to come.

We went to sunrise service at 7:30am and it was a beautiful morning and day! I wish I had my camera with me. There is something about seeig the sun come up on Easter that makes the day even more special! We had an early lunch with family and came home that afternoon and stuck around the house. Oh, and took a few pictures outside;) Capturing it all!

All smiles while getting ready

Harper's basket is almost as big as her.

We get these sweet smiles all the time! I just LOVE them!! Nothing like it!

The sun was bright but we weren't out too long. I loved these pictures in the grass!

The three of us:)

Baby Names

While we were waiting for multiple years our baby name list would grow and then shorten and grow some more! It's funny how some of the names we liked four years ago we ended up crossing out. It's hard choosing a name! Our list for boy names was a lot longer than girl names! Good thing God gave us a girl;) Kidding! I wanted to document some of the names to look back on.

Girl
Harper (always was a favorite)
Harlow (I liked but didn't grow on me)
Kennedy

Boy
Kyson (was Jarod's favorite but I thought it was ok)
Brooks
Beakham
Beckett
Mason (too many though)
Langston
Kipton
Laken

Harper 4-6 weeks

I can't believe you are a little over six weeks old! We are realizing how fast you can grow and change. We cherish every minute with you and don't know what we would do without you. We love to see more of your personality everyday! Momma only has a little over four weeks left of maternity leave and I think that is a mess up. lol. How is my 12 weeks going so fast!

At 4-6 Weeks...

*You are still wearing newborn clothes. Well, you grew out of your newborn sleepers last week.
*Still in newborn diapers...after this last pack we will move to size 1.
*You are still not a big eater and eating only 3-3.5 ounces every 3 hours or so.
*You still love to look around and seem curious.
*Diaper changes is one of your happiest times. lol. You may be a nudist;)
*You are starting to smile when you hear our voices and when we play with you.
*Tummy time is still not a favorite of yours.
*You have this sweet whimper you do when you really don't know what you want.
*You are starting to realize you have fingers.
*You are starting to sleep in 4 hour spans at night.
*You always seem to poop in the morning when dad is up with you before work! He is a pro at dirty diapers. Momma thinks this is funny!
*You like to go on walks.
*You really are such a sweet girl with a little spunk.

This was one of the first ourfits I had bought. I think it looks soo cute on you! I just had to do a mini photo shoot!

                                                                             Awww

You are getting so strong!

There is that big smile you are starting to give us!

Harper's Room Reveal

I have been meaning to post pictures of Harper's room! Decorating our child's nursery was something I had looked forward to for a very long time! At first it felt like it wasn't true. Were we really doing this for our child! I had so much fun and the fact that I love decorating helped too;) This room had been completely empty for years. It was already blue and we decided to keep it that color because we loved it! And, it's so bright and fresh! Jarod made the wood shelf and bow holder and I made the tassel garland. And, we both made the picture frame with the wood behind it....mom and dad touches make it even more special:)
