Staying strong

I know most of the blogs I follow have posted prayer requests for Chelsa, Ryan, B and their extended family but I just have to do the same. They need all the love and support now during this time. Chelsa is such an amazing girl and it just breaks my heart to know that she lost her precious little Andon. I know he is in a wonderful place now but at the same time he would of had a perfect little family here. I guess we will never know some of the questions we have. Chelsa when you read this ( I know you keep up with your blogging. haha) I just wanted to let you know I know the pain you are feeling from your loss. You are an amazing mommy and if you need anything just ask!!

I also wanted to update you a little on my dad. I know previous posts talked about his surgery he had about three weeks ago and how he hasn't been feeling good. Well...they admited him to Deaconess yesterday. He called one of his doctors down in evansville since nothing was getting better after he had been to the ER at DCH and multiple calls to his doctor that did the surgery. The doctor in evansville seen his blood work and told him he would be admitted. The doctor that admitted him is great and I think he such a great doctor! I know he will take care of my dad and hopefully get ride of this infection that he has. I haven't heard much about the tests they have done yet but have been asking the doctors and nurses questions when I was there yesterday. I feel I have to my dad's advocate since I am a nurse. I am so glad I am a nurse because I love my job and want to help people get better. I also want the same for my dad. I want to watch over him and give him updates b/c I know sometimes everything doesn't get passed along to the patient. I just keep praying and hope it is nothing serious b/c my dad seems to get infections easily. I just hate to see him in the hospital b/c he is still young in my eyes and has been through so much. He keeps telling me I know I am going to get a PICC line....which he has had his fair share. And is scared to see what they say....I don't blame him!! I hope he isn't in the hospital too long and I am just asking if you could say a little prayer for him. Thanks so much!

Your dad is in my prayers, hope he gets well soon. I am sure he feels blessed having a nurse in the family also. That is a big help! Take care and keep me posted.
