It's O-"FISH"-AL

On May 14, 2014 at 2:00pm Harper became o-"fish"-ly our child based on the court system! We knew Harper was already meant to be in our family but all the paperwork is completely done!!!! Yay!!!! Harper did great on the 2.5 hour drive and slept the whole way. We tried to time it just right, so when we arrived Harper was ready to eat. It was a GREAT day and we spent the entire day as a family! We only had to say a few yes and no's to the judge, took some pictures and waited on everyone. I think we were only there for 1-1.5 hours. This was such a big day for us and it's hard to believe we are done with everything! 

After we left we went to TJ Maxx and HomeGoods (love these stores) and bought Harper a knew basket for her room to store toys and a new toy for her! We ate at the Cheesecake Factory and then headed home! I can't even describe the happiness Harper has brought to our family. Little events and happenings reminds us that this was all a part of HIS plan. We wouldn't change anything in the world for this all:)    



Mother's Day

Mother's Day has been a day I would dread for quite a while........until this year!!!! I was so looking forward to this day and couldn't wait to celebrate "mommy hood"! I know I celebrate it pretty much everyday anyways, but it was still nice to enjoy it:) In a way it felt like I was dreaming. Is this really my first Mother's Day?? Yep!! I have been able to enjoy this love that is undescribable between a mother and her child! From the day Harper was born until eternity I will be able to see that love grow! Children are such a blessing from God.

I still caught myself  thinking of all the women that are praying to be a mom one day. I know the heartache. The desire. I feel the wait has made these cherished moments that much better! So many things I want to do with Harper! So much love I want to give! I just love it!!! I tell Jarod all the time that I was meant to be a mom:) Harper's birthmother even sent me a Mother's Day card and it just brought tears to my eyes. How wonderful of her to do that! I know it was a hard day for her but to put aside the heartache to do this for me meant so much!! Harper is a little miracle and I know she is going to do great things in her life!! Momma will be right there to help guide her:)

And, I know I'm getting a little behind!! It's expected with a new addittion to the family, right;)?! I'm going to try and post a few posts this week to catch up! I need to post her three month post and about our little vacay! Yes, getting Harper into the travel spirit:)

Can you believe Harper picked this out for me;) I kept telling Jarod I hope you got me atleast a little something for my first Mother's Day. He surprised with this in a gift bag on the back porch! Very sneaky!

Harper 8-10 weeks

Harper you are 2.5 months already!! What are you doing? Lots of new things everyday!

*Wearing size 1 diapers

*In 0-3 months clothes (half still a little big)

*Starting to like your play gym more. You are really starting to notice all the fun things on it!

*Love to be outdoors

*Very content when someone is talking to you. You love to listen:)

*Your hair is starting to grow more and it's brownish/blonde.

*Still have those pretty blue eyes!

*Eating 4 ounces every 3 hours or so.

*You seem to be ready for bed around 7:30-8pm and sleep till 2-3am and then wake again between 7-8am ready for the day.

*Your naps are much shorter.

*You still have this cute whimper that you do.

*You love to smile and we even get a little laugh sometimes:) So sweet!!

*Still love to be naked and love bath time!

*Love to put your fingers in your mouth and get mad when you can't find them right away.

I wonder what you will do in the next couple weeks?! I try to soak it all in and love to be your mommy!!!
