Four Months Old

You are over 1/4 way to being ONE year old! No way.....you need to slow down on the growing:( We have absolutely LOVED seeing you blossom into the sweet girl you are! You have given us a few belly laughs and it's so fun making you laugh and seeing you smile. We can see the love in your eyes and it just melts our hearts! Mommy works 2-12's a week and the days I have off I enjoy spending with you! You are able to do more and this past week-end you went on your first swim. At first you weren't sure and just watched but then you warmed up. You wanted us to hold you compared to floating in your floaty. But, you did fit a little funny and would lean back in it. You also went to your first Birthday party (cousin Katie Jo's) but you couldn't get in all the action....still too small. ha. That's okay because you won't be small long and mommy likes holding you:) Here is to another wonderful month with our blessing!

* you weigh 12lb 12 oz (20th percentile) and 25 1/4 inches tall (80th percentile)
* wearing size 1 diapers

* wearing a mix of 0-3 and 3-6 month clothes

* starting to be an eater this past week and can eat 5-7 ounces at a feeding (every 3-4 hours)

* you are an awesome sleeper and usually want to go to bed around 7:30-8pm and wake between 6-7am....sleeping through the night! 

* used your jumperoo for the first time on Father's Day (15 weeks old). We wanted to see what you would do more so, you lasted 10 minutes or so. With some pillows underneath you could kinda jump but not really

* really starting to grab and actually hold onto your toys and just started grabbing and holding onto your feet/toes

* you used to hate tummy time but now it seems when we lay you on your back you flip right on over to your belly and just hang out

* still love when we talk to you and you give us the silliest smile and cheese from ear to ear. sometimes you get to be quite the talker and can talk (jabber) away 

* when you are ready to eat you are READY....no messing around. lol.. You are such a good eater but do spit up and so we usually have a bib on you a lot. You also need a bib because you still love sucking/chewing on your fingers so we usually have a lot of slobber

* your hair is growing so fast and is coming in all blonde

Harper 12-14 weeks

Another couple weeks have come and gone and you are doing so much!! I try to keep track of everything but if I miss writing something down that's alright because I'm loving my time just loving on you! We can never give you too many kisses:) You are such a joy to have in our life and we don't know what we would do without you. We love you SOOO much and I think we tell you that 100 times a day! 

* Wearing size 1 diapers

* In 0-3 month clothes

* Eating 4.5 ounces 3-4 hours

* Usually between 7:30-8 you are ready for bed and you sleep 8-10 hours at night. Just started sleeping through the entire night for almost a week now!

* Still love to be outside

* You like to roll from back to belly a lot! Then you get mad because you have a harder time rolling from belly to back. You still aren't a fan of tummy time but you are getting better!

* Sat in your bumbo for the first time at 12 weeks and lasted a whole 5 minutes. You can now sit in it for 15 minutes or so but then get tired of it.

* We can now sit you up and support you and not have to worry about you slouching over....getting so strong!

* You love when mommy and daddy talk to you

* Really starting to pay attention to our voices and track us with your eyes throughout the room

* You love looking at books and putting anything in your mouth (fingers are usually the first thing)

* You have the sweetest smile that we can't get over

Three Months Old

It feels like yesterday you were just born. That sweet and round face we first seen is changing more and more. You are definitely looking more older but those kissable cheeks are getting bigger! We love cuddling you, giving you kisses, playing with all your toys with you......well we just love doing about everything with you:) I know before I said, you are sweet and feisty. I wouldn't say you are feisty anymore. I would say you are a determined little girl! Whenever you try to roll you will do whatever it takes. lol. Mommy and daddy just love you to pieces!!!! We talk about how thankful we are to have you everyday! You have completed us even more:) We love that smile of yours that you give us anytime we talk to you or you see us! You melt our hearts more and more each day! We feel so simply blessed.

*We weighed you with your clothes on at a friends and you were 12lb. 3oz......we think your actual weight would be 12lbs or 12lb. 1oz. 

*Size 1 diapers
*Wearing 0-3 month clothes

*Eating 4.5 ounces every 3-3.5 hours

* You sleep 7-8 hours at night and then wake to eat and go back to bed until 7-8am 

*Rolled from your back to belly a few times this past week or so

*Really starting to grasp toys and objects!

*Love to roll from side to side and make noises 

*This past week I had to pack up some of your 0-3 month sleepers:( First the arms start to get short then your legs can't stretch and then we know we have to pack up. It's sad! You are still wearing 0-3 month clothes though. 

*Love to be outdoors

*I don't think you necessarily have a favorite toy yet but you love your jungle gym you lay under

*Went on your first little trip to South Haven, MI!!! Getting you in the travel spirit! You did great and we kept it very low key. The wind off the lake made it a little chillier than we would have liked but that's okay. You got to wear your bunny beanie hat a few more times before you outgrow it.


3 Months already
